Problem Solving with Design

Ploom Studios is a web and print studio based in the Inland Northwest. We start our projects like any good relationship does, by asking a lot of questions and listening to understand our client's needs. Clear communication from beginning to end ensures every project stays on target.

Becky & Mike's Invite

Fun invites for a sporty, slightly nerdy, couple who chose purple and yellow as their wedding colors. A website was also built to complement the design of the invitations.

Martine Hammond Style Site

This portfolio site was built as a Wordpress theme so that the customer can perform updates herself. It was very important that the site be screen responsive, image heavy, and reflect the personality of the fashion stylist.

Pacific Cabinets Inc Website

Pacific Cabinets struggled with a site that was dated looking, not very user-friendly, and difficult to update. I first established their needs using diagrams and a site map, recategorizing some of the content categories to make the site more user-friendly. The final responsive site was built as a Concrete5 theme to allow them to do their own updates. Work is currently being performed on their sister company site:
Scientific Environments. For consistency, when complete it will have a similar setup, but colors, type, and images will change to reflect the SEI brand.

Pendleton Woolen Mills

While working at Pendleton, I assisted on their website redesign. We worked with the builder of the content management system to examine options for a clearer navigation system. We also explored options on the home and category pages for better engaging the site user.

Pendleton Woolen Mills

Emails for Pendleton Woolen Mills were divided into categories by the departments of catalog/web, home, outlet, and retail. Sale and outlet emails were illustrated in-house when specific product could not be shown. The store opening announcement was a special project for a newly-conceived store.
